DAT
Hello, I'm Dr. Karley Powless, and I’m thrilled to share a bit about my journey and passions with you! I hold a Doctorate in Athletic Training, with my academic adventure beginning at Indiana University for my undergraduate studies and continuing at A.T. Still University, where I completed both my master's and doctoral degrees.
My career path has been an exciting blend of hands-on experience and teaching. For two years, I served as the Head Athletic Trainer at Pro Sports Performance and Therapy, where I loved diving deep into the world of sports medicine. Teaching anatomy, physiology, and sports medicine at Desert Mountain High School was another highlight, allowing me to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals. More recently, I shifted gears into medical sales as a representative for Ortho Molecular Products, which gave me a fresh perspective on the industry.
Now, I'm embracing a new chapter with RISE Healthcare Reimagined. This role feels especially meaningful to me because it aligns perfectly with my personal philosophy. As a female with an autoimmune disease, I’ve faced the challenge of advocating for myself in the traditional insurance-based model. The patient-centered, preventative approach at RISE struck a chord with me, and I’m excited to be part of a team that truly listens and cares.
When I’m not immersed in healthcare, you’ll find me indulging in my love for high fantasy novels, coaching high school softball, or working out to stay energized. I cherish my Saturdays, which I spend poolside with friends, soaking up the sun and enjoying good company.
Each day with my amazing team at RISE is a joy, and I’m always eager to connect with others who share my passion for making a positive impact in the world of healthcare. Let's connect and see how we can make great things happen together! Dr. Karley Powless, DAT,
